It is award season all round and BBP was honoured to be highly commended recently in the Local Government Excellence Awards 2023. BBP entered the Supporting Local Enterprise category which recognises initiatives and programs council provides specifically for the business community, either solely or in collaboration with others, that create positive change, underpin growth and supports their ongoing sustainability.
At the gala awards dinner held at Doltone House on 1 June, BBP was Highly Commended in this category, with Ku-ring-gai Council announced as the submitting council but acknowledging the collaboration with both North Sydney and Willoughby Councils as equal partner councils behind the BBP program.
The BBP program is this year in its fifth phase with the ongoing support of the three Partner Councils, having been established back in 2008 with an Environmental Trust grant. We are also proud to announce the commencement of a pilot program with Bayside Council starting in July, to spread the support for Sustainable Business south of the Bridge!
