Ku-ring-gai Fitness and Aquatic Centre

Ku-ring-gai Fitness and Aquatic Centre is owned by the non-profit YMCA group and is Ku-ring-gai LGA’s pre-eminent aquatic centre offering indoor and outdoor heated pools, water park, gymnasium and fitness classes. The Aquatic centre has achieved some significant sustainability milestones including a full Building Management System to automate energy and water use across the site, energy and water efficiency targets and KPIs, installation of energy efficient lighting and pool covers, and water efficient showers, taps and toilets. The organisation contributes significantly to the local community with its youth programs such as Uplift and Street Gym and the Ku-ring-gai centre implements community suggestions such as the free access for HSC students.
