It is time for a special shout out to some of our BBP businesses that have been busy winning awards and being recognised as all round fantastic small businesses and individuals.  Congratulations to the following businesses located in the Ku-ring-gai Local Government Area.

Boomerang Bags Kuring-gai – Jen Stokes, founder of the Boom Bags Ku-ring-gai group was recognised for her amazing longstanding contribution to the Ku-ring-gai community as the Environmental Citizen award from Ku-ring-gai Council on Australia Day 2022!

Jen, who set up the local initiative Boomerang Bags group aims to reduce the amount of plastic bags circulating in Ku-ring-gai by creating centralised containers of shopping bags that residents can use and then return for others to use.

Risk Edge – Annette Davies is  highly experienced certified auditor and award-winning risk manager in the water, environment, policy and mining fields.  Risk Edge joined BBP in 2021 and also won the 2021 Australian Water Association Water Professional of the year award.

In the Local Business of the Year Awards for the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai area there were 2 BBP businesses that took out category awards:

Hair Traits – Pymble hair salon Hair Traits won in the Hairdressing category of the Local Business Awards.

Kiplings Garage Bar – Popular bar and restaurant in Turramurra, Kiplings took out the Local Hotel/Bottle Shop category  AND the big gong, Local Business of the Year 2021,
