Cafes, restaurants and food service businesses share common opportunities to be more sustainable, across energy, water and waste, especially in the single use plastic area.  High energy drivers include lighting, ventilation, and refrigeration.  Water usage can be significant.  Food waste can be problematic and difficult to dispose of sustainably and cafes often generate high amounts of single use plastic and disposable waste.
