What a perfect evening we had at the Coal Loader in Waverton for our first face to face networking event since the Better Business Awards back in June 2021.  Over 60 attendees enjoyed a warm sun-drenched afternoon on the Coal Loader platform, North Sydney’s sustainable jewel in the crown, enjoying cocktails by Trolley’d served by Byron, Nicola and their flight crew from mobile upcycled ex-Ansett aircraft trollies.  We enjoyed delicious sustainable eats by Agape Organic.  We were entertained by Kristen Fletcher from Studio K Music, a BBP business  based in St Ives.  Our event was single use free with the services of RUZI (pronounced Re-Use-y) providing bamboo dinner ware and resuable tumblers for drinks, and disposing of all organic waste responsibly.

North Sydney Mayor Zoe Baker opened the event, followed by a few words from BBP Program Coordinator Amanda Choy.  The audience was then inspired by guest speaker Joanne Taranto from Good for the Hood who spoke to the power of community and why empathy is a critical skill in sustainable communities.   The rest of the evening was for making connections, re-establishing previous friendships and making new ones. A massive thank you to North Sydney Council for allowing us to use this beautiful space.  And thanks to the weather gods who blessed us with perfect weather..  Keep an eye out for our future BBP Business Meet-Up events, both online and face to face on the BBP website Events page.  Click on the link below to access the Facebook photo album!
