About The Judging Process:
The Better Business Awards are open to any member business of the Better Business Partnership (BBP) who received their accreditation for 2017/18 financial year.
Annual Accreditation
All BBP members were invited to receive an annual appraisal of their business. As part of this appraisal the business is rated in seven key areas including Energy, Water, Waste, Community Support, Sustainable Purchasing, Sustainable Transport and Staff Support. In addition each participating business has been assessed in relation to their consideration of Accessibility. Businesses who achieved a certain level of performance and demonstrated during their annual appraisal received accreditation for 2017/18.
The Finalists
Based on the ratings achieved during the annual appraisal, the top finalists in each award category are determined.
Final Judging
The Independent Judging Panel, through an individual desktop review, assess the finalists and determine the winners and runners-up of the Better Business Awards.
The Presentation of the Better Business Awards
Winners will be announced at the 2018 Better Business Awards on 15 June, 2018.
