Crows Nest TAFE Pilots Organic Waste

25 May 2011

May CN TAFE The BBP team saw an organic pulping machine in action last week at Crows Nest TAFE.  The Northern Sydney Institute has been piloting an organic waste disposal system. This system comprises of changes to kitchen operations, separating organic waste through preparation and post service, the installation of a waste pulping machine and storage tank. The waste is collected and transported to a facility that processes waste to generate power and output fertiliser.
This could be a practical business solution for commercial training kitchens and TAFE have demonstrated leadership in this area. BBP are investigating the feasibility of similar technology elsewhere
