Earth Hour 2015

Earth Hour started 8 years ago as a global 'lights out' campaign and now strives to go beyond the hour in their efforts to combat climate change. In 2015 Earth Hour Australia will focus on celebrating and committing to protect our great Aussie food and farmers who are at the frontline of climate change. Across the northern Sydney region there are a number of events from candlelit dinners and movies to looking for microbats, something for everyone.

Candlelit Feast at the Cooks Garden - 272  Bobbin Head Road, North Turramurra

Twilight Picnic at the Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability

Join the North Sydney community and enjoy a twilight picnic on the grounds of the picturesque coal loader site before watching the film 'Project Wild Thing', an inspiring and funny film about reconnecting kids with nature. Twilight Picnic at Lane Cove
Saturday 28 March, 6:00pm – 8:00pm,
Burns Bay Reserve, Kooyong Rd, Riverview
Join the first Lane Cove twilight picnic celebrating local food and supporting local farmers as part of this year’s Earth Hour event. Bring along a picnic and be entertained by live music and a documentary highlighting the importance of local food and the impact of global warming on food production and supply.
