Launch in Lane Cove!

18 July 2012

Lane Cove Plaza, BBP, Lane Cove Council and Lane Cove Alive LogosThe Better Business Partnership has aligned with Lane Cove Alive and Lane Cove Council to roll out its free business sustainability program in Lane Cove. A launch event held on Wednesday 25 July from 6-7:30pm at Epitome Café & Restaurant on ‘the Plaza’ in Lane Cove’ saw more than 30 Lane Cove business people attend.

Attendees had the opportunity to learn more about the program and how it can assist their business as well as meet other local business owners and enjoy a drink. Businesses were encouraged to think about how to differientiate themselves in the marketplace.

The Better Business Partnership assists business owners to attain success through sustainability by:

  • helping businesses save money and increase profits
  • assistance with accessing any financial assistance and resources that may be available
  • VIP invitations to business support events; and
  • providing rewards and promotion for businesses who are doing the right thing

For full details on how it works go to:, alternatively if you prefer to speak to someone personally, please call our friendly Partnership Officer, Adam Corrigan on 02 9777 7546.

The Better Business Partnership began in 2009 as a partnership program with Ku-ring-gai, North Sydney and Willoughby City Councils and with funding from the New South Wales Government through its Environmental Trust and Sydney Water's Every Drop Counts Business Program.

This year the program has been expanded into Lane Cove thanks to Lane Cove Alive working to secure Lane Cove Council as partner of the Program.

“Thanks to Lane Cove Alive, Lane Cove Council has become a partner of the program meaning any business in Lane Cove can now access this innovative program that helps businesses to get a competitive advantage, I urge all local businesses to consider taking advantage of the fantastic service that the program provides” said Win Gaffney, Mayor of Lane Cove.
