March Shop Better

ShopBetter Launch

The ShopBetter campaign was successfully launched on the 29th of February at the Crows Nest Community Centre. ShopBetter is an innovative new campaign that has been developed to assist clusters of BBP members to cross-promote each other. 

Each of the participating businesses has installed an eye catching stand which is stocked with cards featuring the 10 businesses involved. These cards provide an overview of how each business is working towards sustainability and provide a Special Offer to attract savvy shoppers.

March LED

Better Deal for Lighting

BBP is working to secure a better deal for energy efficient lighting on behalf of its members.

Proposals are now being invited from suppliers of Energy Efficient Lighting who are willing to provide special offers to BBP members. These proposals will be assessed against a rigorous selection criteria including cost, quality, warranty, customer service and proven track record. Organisations interested in submitting a proposal should visit Tenders and EOI. 

The closing date for applications is at 4pm on the 3rd of April, 2012.

Renew your free membership and WIN!

The BBP team are now visiting all member businesses to renew their membership and provide them with the new accreditation sticker for 2012/13. All businesses who renew their membership will automatically be entered into the inaugural Better Business Awards which will be held on June the 5th, World Environment Day at the Concourse in Chatswood.

March Honest to Goodness

March’s Champion Business - Honest to Goodness, Artarmon

The March business of the month is Honest to Goodness in Artarmon. Honest to Goodness is a wholesale organic and natural food supplier. The owner, Matt Ward is passionate about sustainable business practices and joined BBP for the recognition of his sustainable achievements. They have replaced their halogens with LED lights, turned off under utilised hot water systems, supported local schools and purchased locally grown produce.

March NS Business Forum

North Sydney Business Forum

Thank you to all who joined us at the North Sydney Business Forum last night. It was a well attended event with expert keynote speakers whom focused on the theme of Business Sales & Marketing. The night finished with a noisy but productive speed networking session and a 60-second elevator pitch for five businesses. There are three upcoming forums for the remainder of the year:
