BBP Reaches 300 with Pymble Golf Club

08 October 2011

October Pymble GolfPymble Golf Club has become the 300th business to join the Better Business Partnership (BBP).
Mayor Jennifer Anderson congratulated the local business community for its strong support of BBP, which offers initiatives to reduce energy and water usage, improve recycling and promote sustainable purchasing.
“More than 300 North Shore businesses have now joined the program. This is a fantastic response which shows our local businesses care about the environment and are committed to making our area more sustainable,” she said.

Pymble Golf Club is striving to become a ‘greener’ club and has already undertaken several initiatives such as installing sensor lighting and using on-site dams to irrigate its greens.
Now in conjunction with BBP, the club is working to further improve its sustainability performance. It has taken part in “GreenChef”, a workshop that helps improve energy and water efficiency in commercial kitchens. The club's head chef Francis Kyan has already recommended BBP to another business, which has also recently signed up.
BBP also look forward to bringing you a series of success stories from our champion members over the coming months.
